In Georgia, Christmas doesn’t always mean staying inside. Some of the best nights of the season happen on the back porch, with the grill going, a jacket on the back of a chair, and everybody standing around waiting on the first plate. This box is for those nights.

It starts with a slab of spare ribs from the Meishan heritage pigs we raise on our fifth-generation family farm in Swainsboro, Georgia. Meishan pork is known for its marbling, so the ribs come out rich and tender when you take your time with them. Season them, put them on low and slow, and brush on blackberry BBQ sauce from Burton Brambles in Coolidge, Georgia, as they finish.

There’s a 4-pack of bone-in pork chops too, for a quick supper on the grill or in a cast iron skillet when company drops in. And for whoever’s manning the grill, there’s a full-size jar of our Meishan Whipped Balm, made from our own pigs’ lard. 

Bought one by one, it would come to $134. The balm alone is $34. For $89, you’re giving a whole night around the grill and a little something extra.
