At the center of the Homecoming Mini is a Meishan Boston butt from the heritage pigs we raise on our fifth-generation family farm in Swainsboro, Georgia. Put it in the slow cooker or on the smoker in the morning and let it go low and slow all day, until it pulls apart with a fork and there’s enough to feed everyone who walks through the door. Pile it high and finish it with blackberry BBQ sauce from Burton Brambles in Coolidge, Georgia.

There’s a ham hock too, for a pot of greens or beans on the back of the stove, the way Southern kitchens have always done it. Set the simmer pot kit beside it, and the house will smell like Christmas long before anyone sits down. And for the one who’s been cooking since sunup, there’s a full-size jar of our Meishan Whipped Balm, made from our own pigs’ lard. Recipe cards walk you through it all.

Bought one by one, it would come to $123. The balm alone is $34. For $79, you’re giving the heart of a family supper and a little something extra.
